Quaker came to us asking for some shopper help in promoting their new line of Cap’n Crunch snacking products. Our target was ‘The Eternal Child’ - an adult who’d had enough of adulting, who preferred creating and day dreaming to the day in and day out drudgery of regular life.
Sounded a lot like me.
So my partner and I recommended video games.

An intensive 8-bit re-skin of Arkadium games and an irresponsible amount of sailing puns later, the Cap’n Crunch Arcade was born.

Cap’n Ball was free, but to unlock the other three games shoppers were asked to scan UPC codes on the back of Cap’n Crunch products. We also drove to purchase on the site’s online shop.

At the end of the limited run, we were delighted to find that the project had achieved exactly what it set out to do - to a dramatic degree.
